Q: What is maggyPie?

A: maggyPie is a smart electronic platform, and was founded in 2018. We specialize in Data Privacy & Information Security. We only ask essential information for processing, and minimal data is retained in our database.

All chirps, advice, knowledge and other material are relatively recent and written by subject-matter-experts in the field.

Unlike other sites and some search engines, when you browse on our site, you can have peace of mind that information you are reading is up-to-date.

maggyPie is named after the smartest bird in the world, the magpie.

Q: What are your system/browser requirements?

A: A minimum of TLS 1.2 is required. Also, any of the following major browsers should work fine, as long as it's up-to-date & has javascript enabled:

Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, or Edge.

We do NOT recommend IE, as some features may be buggy or even unsupported.

Q: What is your Mission Statement?

A: Our Mission Statement is: to protect information security and data privacy.

We have a very strict Privacy Policy in the fact that we do not retain certain information (your name, e-mail, phone number, and address) after an order is processed; it is completely purged from our database. The database and schemas were designed with that in mind.

Q: What can I use maggyPie for?

A: You may use our service(s) to chirp (post), to vote (smart voting), book a smart event (calendar), post a classified listing, or purchase products.

Additionally, we offer IT consulting services. Please read our Terms of Service for additional information.

Q: What does "We do not retain or keep any of your PII after a purchase" mean?
A: This means that we do not hang onto your information any longer than absolutely necessary - it's only stored temporarily. Once your order is processed, your informations and records are purged from our database. It's that simple! Whether you are a privacy guru or a everyday user, you'll be happy to know that your information gets erased.
Q: What does no login, no account, and no signup mean?

A: You are not required to create an account to use any of our services. In fact, there is no option to do so!

Q: What are chirps, and how I do write a chirp?

A: You can chirp on maggyPie's site (limited or premium) at any time.

Q: Is my credit card information safe?

A: Yes! Credit card numbers are encoded with AES-256 bit encryption.

All of your credit card information that you provide in any payment forms on maggyPie is compliant with current PCI-DSS standards & credit card compliance requirements.

Q: Why does the time zone differ from my current timezone?

A: Since we don't track or monitor your location, your local time may vary slightly.

We use EST, known as Eastern Standard Time, sometimes called "New York Time". The approximate current EST time is: 21:40

Q: Why don't you offer refunds?

A: We cannot offer refunds on our shopping nor classified listings due to the fact that most of your information is purged/deleted after processing.

Also, please understand that any food products cannot be return as that presents a health hazard.

Q: Why don't you offer a subscription service or e-mail/mailing list?

A: We do not offer subscription services as we try to promote a SPAM-free environment.

Any purchases made on maggyPie are one-time charges.
